Someone is old!

Some people dread it. Some fear it. Still others simply ignore it, hoping that it might go away. Greg, on the other hand, is a man of a different stripe. When I commented a few days ago that this was a Big Year for him, he just kind of looked at me. "Well, you are turning 30 this week." "Oh. Right." So. Apparently, it's just another birthday. Perhaps I'll have a crisis for him or something but I'm glad that he's not concerned. (Kidding.) (About me having a crisis.) Anyway, today is The Big Day, so Happy Birthday to my favorite 30 year-old! You get better looking every year (as I know, my love, you will agree), and I adore you more each day that we're together.

Playing in French dirt (just as fun as German and American, as it turns out!)

I promise that I really will put together pics from our trip soon, but I've been so busy...

Happy Bithday Greg! I'm glad you are taking it well. Zach took it rough. He was actually kind of depressed on his birthday. I still can't imagine myself over 16 so I don't think it will bother me much(next year). ~A

Happy Birthday Greg! Wow! Can't believe you and Sara are turning 30! She doesn't seem to pay much attention to it either.

Happy 30th Birthday Greg!

My memories:
*Your first cry sounded like a bleating calf.
*How you put kiddie puzzles together lightning-fast.
*Spray painting graffiti signs around the house.
*How much of a giver you always were.
*You were the best brother and helper to Keith.
*The fun you created from stuff around the house--tents, covered wagons, space shuttles.
*Stacks of library books and encyclopedias on military topics.
*Camp Tiger Paw
*Civil Air Patrol-C Flight Honor Cadet at the ES Encampment; Billy Mitchell Award; Amelia Earhart Award.
*SOG Raiders-the military club you started to train guys in all you learned about the military.
*Home School Graduation in 1996--yeah, we did it!
*ROTC Ranger Challenge Team-lightning-fast in weapons assembly and rope bridge.
*Graduating from Campbell University in 2000--yeah, you did it!
*Marrying Faith and the beautiful thoughts you had at the wedding.
*Becoming a daddy and surprising Faith by coming home early from Afghanistan.
*Being a superb military leader and a fine example to your troops.
*Being the godly man of your household.
*Being my son.

I love you, Greg.

Happy Birthday Greg! I hit the big 3-0 last year and I agree with you, not a big deal. You're only as old as you feel and act! :) Glad to see all of you are doing well.

We miss you guys!
