This post has been narrated by Andrew and Elijah, who went on a camping trip with Greg for two nights in Garner State Park.
When Daddy came back for his summer break, he took us on a camping trip. When we first got there, he showed us how to set up a campsite with our tents and other stuff.
We went on a hike on this big mountain and we found two caves. This picture is of the second cave.
On the ceiling of the second cave, there were a whole lot of Daddy Long Legs.
They were all climbing on top of each other.
Elijah: "I'm sitting on a rock bench that we found."
Andrew: "I am feeling grumpy on the trail. I look so happy. Haha."
We ate a snack when we got to the top of the mountain.
We found mountain goats and they were cool.
Looking out at the great view. And it was cool to see the campsite and the river far away below us.
We found a rope-swing down a little trail from our campsite, so swung on it a bunch of times and jumped into the water.
Andrew: "I am learning how to cook on the camp-stove."
Elijah: "That rock beside the stove is a 'striking rock' for our strike-anywhere matches."
Elijah: "This shows our whole campsite. I was staying in the little camo tent, Andrew was staying in the white tent, and Daddy was in the weird hammock. (It was hanging corner-to-corner, not just side-to-side.)"
Daddy in his hammock.
Andrew: "This is how Elijah sits still when he's supposed to be staying still for a picture."
Elijah: "But I was OK."
The camping trip was awesome!

Andrew & Elijah: What a great daddy you have! You look like you had the time of your lives! You learned lots of camping skills because Daddy is the best camper in the world! I love the rope swinging into the water. I would have loved doing that! What fun!
