This post is sort of old news, but we neglected to blog about our outing to the Scarborough Renaissance Faire over Memorial Day weekend. This faire was held at what seemed to be permanent renaissance-faire-type-grounds in Waxahachie, TX, in-between Waco and Dallas.
Up first was this guy who calls himself Cast In Bronze. He played a four-ton, 35-bell medieval instrument called a Carillon. Pretty impressive and surprisingly loud.
Next was Dr. Kaboom who didn't actually make anything go "kaboom", but nevertheless put on a fun show of fire, smoke and catapults.
There was a parade...
Theater...
Lots of fun walking...
Knife throwing...
Knife juggling...
Jousting...
Street performers...
But the highlight of the trip was of course...THE PLAYGROUND!!!
